SFS-D4008L is a spectral confocal displacement sensor with 8 mm reference distance, ±2 mm measuring range, 100 nm repeatability, <±1.2 μm linearity error and a compact Φ8×73.1 mm probe weighing 59 g.
POMEAS SFS-D4008L is a high-precision spectral confocal displacement sensor with an 8 mm reference distance, ±2 mm measuring range, 100 nm repeatability and <±1.2 μm linearity error. Compared with the 4.7 mm D4005, the 8 mm reference distance gives more fixturing clearance; the Φ8×73.1 mm probe weighs about 59 g. The non-contact optical method handles highly reflective, transparent and soft surfaces.

Ideal for precision part displacement and height measurement, transparent material thickness measurement, warpage and step inspection and surface contour scanning where working distance matters.

Probe size, precision and range are identical; the difference is reference distance: 8 mm for the D4008L vs 4.7 mm for the D4005. A longer distance gives more fixturing clearance.
Repeatability is 100 nm with a linearity error of <±1.2 μm (verified with a nanometer-grade laser interferometer).
±2 mm measuring range (4 mm total travel), with a ±12.5° measuring angle.
